Ben Affleck Has a Nuanced Take on AI

In a recent CNBC interview, Ben Affleck does a deep dive on AI.  Many of his viewpoints echo many of ours: AI is disruptive, but it also has the potential to save time and could potentially create new revenue streams.

He asserts that AI cannot replicate the nuanced artistry of human actors or the creative genius of writers like Shakespeare. Plus, it lacks the capacity for genuine artistic decision-making, which is essential in film production.

CocaCola Christmas Ad Gets Kickback
You may have seen this in the news.  CocaCola released a Christmas ad generated by AI.  Unfortunately it was a little too “uncanny valley.”  Comments on the YouTube video are brutal.

In spite of the user backlash, CocaCola stands behind the ad, “We are always exploring new ways to connect with consumers and experiment with different approaches. This year, we crafted films through a collaboration of human storytellers and the power of generative AI.”
